My goal for you in the video is to maximize the positivity in your mind, minimize negative, and help you create an Automatic Positive Brain. It's important to know that negative self talk creates more negative talk. Positive self talk creates more positive self talk.

VIDEO NOTES:
There are internal and external triggers. Internal are inside your mind like thoughts, emotions, and beliefs. External are people, places, sounds, sights, smells, times of year, etc.
Steps to managing your triggers...
1. Reclaim your mind
a. Accept that you're triggered, don't fight it
b. Get to a safe space
c. Tell yourself things are different and be present
d. Shift negative thoughts to positive ones (even if uncomfortable)
2. Build your recovery toolbox

Like I said, if you were to coach with me and pay me $1,000's this is the first thing I'd tell you to do. Don't ignore it!
3. Reflect, identify, and eliminate triggers
a. Most people never learn and repeat destructive patterns
b. Learn but don't dwell
c. Eliminate the trigger or create a game plan for future
d. Put 2 columns on piece of paper, 1st column list triggers, 2nd write down how you will eliminate it or the game plan for the future.

Most people with PTSD think they are worthless, unlovable, and just terrible human beings. When this happens it causes us to not take care of ourselves, and when we don't take care of ourselves our life degrades until there's nothing left.
In this video I give you tips on self care, and how to start believing that you are worthy and worth love, compassion, and care.
The truth is that you are a good person that's just been hurt, and it takes self care and compassion to heal and get out of that place.
